Membracide Géant
Limestone, 2015 (95-45-60 cm).
Membracids, insects belonging to the order Hemiptera, otherwise known as humpbacked or spiny cicadas. They are easily distinguished from other insects of the same order by their pronotum outgrowth, which is the part between the head and the abdomen and forms a large, complex structure in the shape of horns, hooks, fans, ridges or made up of balls.
"Dreamtime" is a series of sculptures comprising several half-faces emerging from the ground, with an imaginary development in the hair. As well as "Mantis spasme", combining the metamorphosis of an insect abdomen, into a mask, as well as a human figure, perhaps asleep, fragmented... Small pieces made in soapstone (steatite), 2018.
"Caiman Head," organic bronze and marble base, cast in my workshop at the Jesuits in Angoulême with Abdoulaye Kabore. A unique piece made from a blend of materials collected over several periods and from different locations.

"Imaginary Itinerary" Project, Duel/Dance/Saint George/Dragon
The subject is related to the name of the town of the "Relais du Bois de St Georges" in Saintes.
This is not a classic representation of the famous Catholic martyr victorious over the forces of evil embodied by the Dragon.
At first glance, it is more of a bare-handed duel, the outcome of which one might wonder.
It could certainly be an allegory of struggle...
But beyond the duel, it could also be a form of dance.
To invoke the duty of connection and respect between humanity and nature.
In the new era of the dwelling in which we live...

"The Flight"
This is a representation of the famous stag beetle, "Stag Beetle (Cervus)," the largest and most majestic of European beetles.
This specimen is depicted on the verge of taking flight. It unfolds its elytra to extend its iron wings, made from salvaged scrap metal. This oxidized and assembled metal is intended to be a percussive and interactive musical instrument (toms/bells/cymbals), and certain suspended modules are powered by the wind.
This multifaceted work strives for both a naturalistic and poetic spirit.
It is a way of raising awareness among the viewer about the relationship between humans and the environment, as well as all living things.
This is achieved through the insect's immense proportions, born from the union of limestone (composed of the memories of life) and iron, bound together by the deity Gou (of Dahomey) and the telluric forces of nature.
“Even for the simple flight of a butterfly, the whole sky is necessary.” Paul Claudel
